Duke vs. Syracuse: The third-seeded Blue Devils came out ready to play and jumped on top of the second-seeded Orange, on their way to an 18-13 win. Between the 12:50 and 10:30 marks of the first quarter, Duke scored five goals and led 9-2 at the end of the opening period. Syracuse closed the lead to 11-7 in the first 30 seconds of the second half, but the Blue Devils responded by scoring the next six goals. Three 'Cuse players recorded a hat trick. Brennan O'Neill scored his 200th career goal and finished the game with four goals and two assists. Andrew McAdorey led the Blue Devils with five goals and an assist, and Dyson Williams also had four goals. For Syracuse Jake Stevens and Joey Spallina each led the Orange with four goals.
