Hamburger SV goalkeeper Daniel Heuer Fernandes scored one of the most spectacular own goals of all time on Friday night.
It arrived 27 minutes into his side's 2-2 draw at FC St. Pauli in the 2. Bundesliga, Germany's second division.
Fernandes took a short goal kick to defender Stephen Ambrosius before the keeper sprinted to the corner of the six-yard box to create space.
Ambrosius then played a pass to fellow center-back Guilherme Ramos, who did not appear to realize that his keeper had moved from between his posts.
Ramos played a poor pass behind Fernandes, who panicked thinking the ball might be rolling into his goal - although replays proved it was actually heading wide.
Not wanting to take any chances, Fernandes attempted to kick the ball as hard as possible away from his goal.
But the ball struck a divot on the pitch moments before Fernandes booted it and this caused him to sensationally smash it into the roof of his own net.

Hamburg were now 2-0 down after Jackson Irvine had earlier opened the scoring for St. Pauli.
But Hamburg hit back with second-half goals from Robert Glatzel and Immanuel Pherai to earn a 2-2 draw.
That result kept league leaders St. Pauli unbeaten after 15 games this season and left Hamburg three points behind in second place.
After the final whistle on Friday, Hamburg fans were heard singing the name of their goalkeeper.
