Virginia's Nicholas Simmonds had already been having a phenomenal freshman season with five goals on the year, and then he erupted with a huge game in Virginia's 4-0 win over Clemson. Simmonds scored three of the Cavaliers' four goals. It was the first time a UVA player had recorded a hat trick in a game in 13 years.
