The Notre Dame Fighting Irish earned a tough road series win by taking two of three at Louisville over the weekend. Game one in Louisville saw Payton Tidd throw a complete-game shutout, allowing 6 hits and walking just one batter while striking out 2 on her way to her 11th win of the season. Joley Mitchell's solo home run provided all of the offense in the 1-0 victory for the Irish. Game two was much more of an offensive game for both teams as the Irish came away with a 13-6 series-clinching win. Karina Gaskins led the offense for Notre Dame, going 2-3 from the plate with 4 RBI, 2 runs and a home run and Carlli Kloss went 3-4 with a triple, 3 RBI and 2 runs scored in the win. Louisville rallied for a 6-2 victory in Game three to avoid a series sweep at the hands of the Fighting Irish. The 4th innings was key for the Cardinals, azs they scored 4 runs off of 6 hits to take a 5-1 lead. Korbe Otis had a fantastic day at the dish, finishing 4-4 and just a home run shy of hitting for the cycle in the win.
