At home in Pittsburgh, the Panthers completed one of the best comebacks you will ever witness, getting a 72-59 win over the Mustangs. Pitt tied and NCAA Division 1 women's basketball record by coming back from down 32 to win the game. SMU shot just 38.2% from the floor in the first half, but 10 of their 13 made field goals were three-pointers as the Mustangs scored a season-high 49 points in the first half. Then, the game flipped in the second half with Pitt outscoring SMU 28-0 in the third quarter and they ended up outscoring the Mustangs 54-10 in the second half. Khadija Faye had an incredible second half, finishing the game with 21 points, 12 rebounds, six blocks, two assists, and a steal. Mikayla Johnson also had a big game for the Panthers with 22 points and six rebounds. SMU's Nya Robertson scored 23 points and made 4-7 three-pointers in the first half and finished the game with a game-high 21 points.
