North Carolina's Anthony Donofrio hit a hard ground ball down the left field line and slid into second base safely, but when the ball got past the second baseman, he took off for third. Backing up the throw was Wake Forest first baseman Nick Kurtz and he scooped up the ball and threw out Donofrio for the first out of the inning.
