While it’s no secret that NiJaree Canady continues to do things that the softball community has rarely seen, what she did on Saturday afternoon might be the most improbable of all.
Canady went yard on a two-run bomb in the Lubbock Regional, putting her team up 7-1 over Mississippi State. The craziest part about the home run wasn’t the distance, the power, or even the timing. It was the fact that it landed at the bottom of a trash can in the outfield stands.
Extra points for making it in the trash can? @ContextSoftball

Understandably, the clip took off quickly, with many in the world of college sports reacting to Canady’s unbelievable shot, and with that, here are some of our favorite responses to the situation on X.
