'We set trends' LSU recruits set wild precedent that could give Tigers a major recruiting edge

The LSU Tigers have been one of the better teams in recruiting when it comes to the 2026 class. With 10 commits thus far, the Tigers are fifth in the nation and second in the SEC behind only Texas A&M.

The crown jewel so far of the 2026 class is five-star wide receiver Tristen Keys. He's been doing a great job recruiting for the program. He is a part of the trio of elite wide receiver prospects with four-star Jabari Mack and four-star Kenny Darby.

During a visit to campus, all three did something that might end up being a first in recruiting, as their moms threw on the full uniforms with their sons in the foreground.

We've seen so many different things that teams have done to draw recruits. We see the different stages and backgrounds for recruits to take pictures with, they get to put on the full uniform, and take pictures with the coaching staff.

In the past, dads have put on the full uniform to take pictures with their sons, but having the moms involved is something that could be a major factor in securing future recruits.

Things will be really interesting moving forward for the Tigers in this scenario.
