West Virginia got bowl eligible last week with a win over UCF, Texas Tech has been bowl eligible for a little while, and now these two are jockeying for bowl position.

The Mountaineers lost to a good Baylor team, but it’s on a run of three wins in the last four games and won its three games on the road.

Meanwhile, Texas Tech has been a tad inconsistent thanks to a defense that finds ways to keep both teams in games.

This should be fun.

West Virginia vs Texas Tech: Who Will Win?

West Virginia has been terrific on the road and now the offensive balance will come up big in a big way. Just keep the chains moving and all will be fine.

West Virginia is 5-0 when hitting 60% or more of its passes. Texas Tech allows teams to connect on 64% of their throws, but the defense - for all of its faults - comes up with plenty of takeaway with seven over the last four games.

It’ll come up with two takeaways to keep this from getting out to hand, but the defense will fail in enough key spots to drop another wild shootout.
