Brett Favre is one of the most famous and most successful football players of all time.

Best known for his time playing with the Green Bay Packers, Favre hopped around the National Football League and was a highly prized quarterback.

While most of Favre’s success and achievement comes from his professional football career, he has tried his hand at other business ventures to find varying degrees of success.

Whatever Brett Favre does with his career, his loyal fans are always looking to find another way to support their favorite quarterback.

What Is Brett Favre’s Net Worth?

Brett Favre has a net worth of $100 million, most of which was earned through his professional football career.

He also earns a salary of about $7 million each year through endorsements, investments, and other types of income.

Some of these endorsement deals include MasterCard, Nike, Snapper, and Wrangler jeans to name a few.

Starting On The Atlanta Falcons

Brett Favre had a strange introduction to the National Football League, which was in part due to his equally new and strange agent, Bus Cook.

The first strange thing that Cook did was attempt to get Favre to join the Canadian Football League after he was disappointed about being a second-round draft pick for the Atlanta Falcons.

Having a coach who wasn’t happy about him being there didn’t help Favre’s rookie year either, but coach Jerry Glanville needed the extra player to help save the struggling team.

Coach Glanville and Brett Favre had an incredibly rocky relationship, causing the coach to curse the young player out regularly.

When Favre joined the Atlanta Falcons, he had a cocky attitude that didn’t sit right with Glanville, and the coach made it his mission to teach the young rookie a lesson.

Favre had told some of the other players that he was better than the rest of them and claimed he had the best arm in the whole National Football League.

When Favre arrived for training, he wasn’t able to throw a spiral for the first two weeks of the camp.

However, the Atlanta Falcons were known for having a questionable and dysfunctional training camp.

On July 17th of 1991, the Atlanta Falcons signed Brett Favre to a three-year, $1.4 million contract that included a $350,000 to $400,000 signing bonus.

He put the majority of his money into stocks and used the rest to purchase a $30,000 maroon Acura.

Favre had helped the team win more games than they had in years, finally reaching a double-digit win count.

He wasn’t the only new player who helped give the team the facelift it needed.

Brett Favre was also joined by Chris Miller, Andre Rison, and Deion Sanders.

Switching To The Green Bay Packers

Brett Favre was traded to the Green Bay Packers in 1992, after a season with little to no action for the rookie.

Favre would spend the majority of his football career with the Green Bay Packers.

Favre started his career with the Packers in 1992, opening for every single game after the fourth game of his first season with them until 2007.

During his time with the Packers, Favre found massive success and made a career out of smashing records that had been set in the Green Bay Packers organization and the National Football League.

Favre was able to claim the most career passing yards, most career touchdown passes, most career pass completions, most career pass attempts, most career interceptions thrown, most consecutive starts, and most career victories as a starting quarterback.

Brett Favre also became the first player to ever win the National Football League’s Most Valuable Player Award three times in a row, starting in 1995 and going until 1997.

Favre was also able to lead the Green Bay Packers to seven different division championships, including the 1995, 1996, 1997, 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2007 seasons.

With Favre on their team, the team was able to reach the 1995, 1996, 1997, and 2007 National Football Conferences games and won in both 1996 and 1997.

He was also able to get the team to two Super Bowls and helped them win the Super Bowl in 1997.

After his 2007 season, Brett Favre decided to retire from professional football.

However, he quickly changed his mind and began reporting for training camp in 2008.

Not expecting the retired athlete to appear for training, there were major rifts between Brett Favre and the team because the Green Bay Packers had already replaced him with Aaron Rodgers.

This only further put a strain on the relationship between him and the Packers.

His Short Time With The New York Jets

In 2008, the New York Jets were excited to take on the seasoned quarterback.

Fans of both Brett Favre and the New York Jets were so excited about Favre’s return to professional football that the team’s website crashed from all the people rushing to buy Favre’s most recent jersey.

The sales from Favre’s new jersey became the first record that he would break while on the team.

For Favre’s first day of training camp, about 10,000 fans showed up to watch the legend practice.

For years, the New York Jets had been struggling to win games and had to rely on their quarterback, Chad Pennington, who didn’t have nearly as good a track record as Favre.

However, Favre was only able to play 11 games before he tore his bicep.

Before his injury, he had thrown as many interceptions as he did touchdowns.

Without their star player, the New York Jets were at 9-7 and wouldn’t get the opportunity to play in the postseason.

While Brett Favre’s actions on the field may not have been notable, he did land himself in hot water after sending inappropriate and unsolicited photos to one of the sideline reporters for the Jets.

During the 2008 season which Brett Favre spent with the Jets, he would see Jennifer Decker at her job as an in-game host for the New York Jets.

One day, one of the team employees told her that Brett Favre wanted the 24-year-old’s phone number.

Despite not giving the team employee her number to give to Favre, he began messaging her.

Decker wanted the messages to stop and didn’t want to risk her career, so she tried changing her phone number.

However, Favre got ahold of that number as well, although Decker was never able to figure out how, and sent her nude photos.

Playing For The Minnesota Vikings

Although Brett Favre had retired again after the one season he had spent with the New York Jets, the football field quickly lured him right back into the National Football League.

Favre was ready for a new environment and team to play alongside.

The new team seemed to be exactly what Brett Favre needed, leading his team to a 6-0 start to the 2009 season.

Although the season had a couple of rough patches, Favre was able to carry the Minnesota Vikings to the playoffs and helped them win the National Football Conference North game against Favre’s former team, the Green Bay Packers.

This wasn’t the first time that the Minnesota Vikings used Brett Favre to defeat the Green Bay Packers.

During the 2009 season, the Vikings had defeated the Packers twice before.

This acted as a major blow to the Packers’ confidence while going up against one of their best players.

After defeating the Dallas Cowboys at the National Football Conference’s Championship game, they went on to face the New Orleans Saints in the Super Bowl.

It was a tight game that ended up going into overtime and resulted in Brett Favre seriously injuring his ankle.

If Favre ever wanted to play football again, he was going to need surgery on his ankle.

Favre contemplated having the surgery for months.

Eventually, he decided to have the procedure done.

Brett Favre recovered from the surgery but decided to retire for the final time during the 2010 season.

Despite his short time with the Minnesota Vikings, he earned the second-largest payday he had ever received.

While announcing his retirement, Brett Favre also admitted that he had been suffering from memory loss due to all of the head injuries he had received during his career.

Dealing With The Repercussions Of Playing Football

Growing up a wily young boy, and later becoming a professional football player meant that Brett Favre was frequently getting concussions.

By the time he had retired from the National Football League for good, the brain damage had become apparent to even Favre.

Favre partnered with the Concussion Legacy Foundation, which was started by former World Wrestling Entertainment member Chris Nowinski.

Shortly after partnering with the foundation, Favre created a public service announcement that warned parents not to let their children under 14 play tackle football.

Children who play tackle football before the age of 14 are shown to have an increased risk of developing chronic traumatic encephalopathy.

Chronic traumatic encephalopathy is a brain condition caused by repeated head trauma, which gets progressively worse as you get older.

Like other degenerative brain conditions, those with chronic traumatic encephalopathy often experience short-term memory loss, intense changes in mood, frequent confusion and disorientation, and difficulty thinking.

Those with this condition may also experience slurred speech, significant memory problems, tremors, muscle stiffness, slow movement, and even trouble eating and drinking.

Because of the experience that he has with brain injury, Brett Favre has not pressed his grandson to play football.

He doesn’t feel comfortable with them taking the same risks he did without there being a cure for brain injuries.

Opening His Own Restaurant

In 1998, Brett Favre opened Brett Favre’s Steakhouse just east of Lambeau Field, on the street named after the legendary Green Bay Packer.

You could find a combination of Northern and Southern American foods.

However, the restaurant decided to rebrand itself in 2017 as Hall of Fame Chophouse in hopes of reinvigorating the business.

Favre and the other owners believed that this name change would allow them to pay respect to all of the other famous Green Bay Packers players.

When the restaurant changed its name, it took the opportunity to add a few new items to its menu.

These new items included double bone duroc pork chop, porcini dusted barramundi, and shrimp scampi.

With the name change, even the interior design got an update.

The only thing that didn’t change was the restaurant’s tradition of tailgating for Green Bay Packers home games.

However, all the new changes didn’t seem to bring any new customers, and the restaurant closed shortly after the renaming.

After two years of the building just standing empty, someone bought the property and chose to demolish the old building.

A luxury hotel is set to replace the old restaurant.

It’ll be called Legacy and have 80 rooms for guests to stay in.

Teaming Up With Green Eagle

During his time in the National Football League, Brett Favre became addicted to a painkiller called Vicodin.

There was a point during that season when Favre was taking 14 pills at once, despite it being the same year he first won the Most Valuable Player award.

Brett Favre put himself through rehab three times to get off of the addictive prescription drug.

His addiction was fueled by the unending pain he felt after years of playing the high contact sport.

For years, Favre was trying to find a solution to his pain without having to go back to painkillers.

When he found out that CBD was a non-addictive solution for frequent pain, Favre was eager to try it out for himself.

Marijuana contains two different types of common cannabinoids, which are referred to as CBD and THC.

Cannabidiol, more commonly referred to as CBD, is reportedly able to alleviate pain without giving the consumer any type of high.

Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, is the cannabinoid responsible for the high sensation.

Before trying the product, Favre was hesitant because of his fear of getting addicted to another substance.

After trying the product, Favre knew he wanted to tell more people who may have struggled with the same problem.

Favre teamed up with the CBD producer that he regularly purchased from, Green Eagle, in order to show the world how CBD could help them find a little peace.

In interviews since teaming with Green Eagle, Favre has admitted to wishing that CBD had been available and allowed by the National Football League when he was still playing professionally.

Although Favre boasts of the effectiveness of the product, he warns consumers not to expect miracles.

Just like any other medication, there are only so many applications for which the product works perfectly.

Joining The Board Of Directors For Sqor

In 2013, Brett Favre joined the board of directors for a social media platform specializing in professional athletes called Sqor.

The platform created economic opportunities for athletes all over the major league sports.

On this platform, players were able to connect with their fans and help grow their digital brand.

The money would come from sports field incomes.

It was Brett Favre’s job to get more teams on board with the platform.

The platform never picked up any steam and it led to investors getting so angry at Brett Favre.

They claimed that Favre had misled them about Sqor Sports, and they wanted every penny of the $16 million they invested back.

There were court documents that showed that Favre would frequently receive benefits such as equity, athlete payments, private jet costs, and other forms of rewards.

Brett Favre In His Later Years

Brett Favre was one of the great football players in the history of the National Football League and became a legendary member of the Green Bay Packers.

Although he may have started as a cocky rookie, he showed the entire football league that he knew what he was talking about when said that he was better than the rest of them.

Favre found the majority of his success in professional football, but he used the money he earned in the league to try new industries that he had never entered before.

While he may not have found the most success in his other business ventures, he has been able to find peace in retirement and a way to ease his pain.

Brett Favre learned the importance of keeping your head safe while playing sports from all the concussions and other head injuries that Favre endured over the years.

He has spent much of his retirement teaching the importance of watching out for the athlete’s health while they’re young, and he’s taught parents the importance of keeping their children’s development in mind.
