The FIFA World Cup 2026 is highly anticipated by many football fans across the host nations: Mexico, Canada, and the United States. So it's no surprise that FIFA announced that there are more than 500 million ticket requests for this year's World Cup.
Following the latest Random Selection Draw in January, many fans who were not selected to get tickets will soon be able to purchase them through FIFA's official ticketing site.
FIFA announced that there are three official ways to buy 2026 World Cup tickets (more on each below):
If you're looking to attend a specific match this year, these are the most expensive World Cup tickets right now.
FIFA confirmed that the 2026 World Cup will be a mobile-only entry tournament. Fans will receive their mobile tickets via the tournament app, closer to the event.
Tickets will not be emailed to fans nor downloaded as documents. Screenshots and photos will not work for fans at stadium entry.
FIFA has organized selection draws for fans to purchase tickets for the 2026 World Cup. Some fans receive emails that notify them whether they are selected to push tickets or not.
If fans missed out on the previous three selection draws for match tickets for the 2026 World Cup, FIFA announced that a new phase for purchasing tickets will begin in April.
FIFA calls it the Last‑Minute Sales Phase, which will begin on April 2, 2026, at 11 a.m. ET / 8 a.m. PT in the United States.
At the moment, the only guaranteed way to have tickets for the 2026 World Cup is through hospitality tickets.
Hospitality packages are available in all 16 host cities across the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
Fans can browse for these tickets through matches or suites. Fans will first choose a match of their choosing and then pick their preferred suite in the venue of the match they choose to attend.
These hospitality tickets offer multiple perks exclusive selection of beverages, culinary offerings, entertainment, parking, and gifts.
The FIFA Marketplace will open in April, where fans can purchase tickets that are on resale.
FIFA encourages fans to use their official FIFA Marketplace to purchase tickets that are being resold instead of using other third-party resale ticket websites.
