The LSU Tigers (13-1) are fresh off a two-game series sweep of North Dakota State University, and are now preparing for a weekend series against North Alabama (3-8) this Friday through Sunday.
The Tigers struggled in their first matchup against the North Dakota State Bison, and at one point found themselves trailing 7-1, but they were able to rally and earn a comeback victory, 11-9 on Tuesday. On Wednesday, they flipped the script on the Bison and run-ruled them in seven innings, winning 13-3.
The weekend starting pitchers aren’t going to change this week. Kade Anderson will get the ball on Friday, followed by Anthony Eyanson on Saturday and Chase Shores on Sunday. During their road trip to Texas for the Frisco College Baseball Classic, the Tigers’ starters had their fair share of struggles. Anderson (2), Eyanson (5) and Shores (4) all gave up multiple runs while Eyanson and Shores also gave up seven hits apiece. I’m not too worried about them, but this will be a great chance to bounce back with some big outings before SEC play roles around next weekend.
