With kickoff just a couple of hours away, there are undoubtedly some pre-game jitters for many Jets hopefuls currently on the roster bubble. Who would we include in this group that you should be watching? Take a look.
WR Malachi Corley: This may be it for Corley. He’s made very little noise throughout training camp and has been invisible in games. If he’s put on ice tonight, he’s probably not hanging around for very long. If he has a huge night, maybe he has a shot to see year two as a Jet.
TE Zack Kuntz: Kuntz is a 6′ 8” target who could be a weapon in the red zone if given the chance. With so little proven talent at the tight end position, will Kuntz get an opportunity to show what he can do with multiple targets?
CB Jarrick Bernard-Converse: Bernard-Converse has very quietly had himself a nice camp despite being written off by many. Expect him to see action tonight, possibly as a showcase for trade.
QB’s Brady Cook and Adrian Martinez: Expect these two to split all of the reps tonight. Given Tyrod Taylor’s injury history, the team should be looking to keep three quarterbacks.
WR Jamaal Pritchett: Pritchett should have a very real chance of displacing Xavier Gipson. He’s another pass catcher who would benefit from multiple targets tonight to show what he can do.
OT Carter Warren: The Jets have little to offer in terms of depth at offensive tackle. Max Mitchell seems to be the favorite in the clubhouse to win a roster spot, but Warren has an outside shot and could win a practice squad spot.
DB Dean Clark: After a huge performance last week, Clark will look to make an impression as he hopes to be out Isaiah Oliver for the team’s versatile S/NB/CB spot.
