Wisconsin Badgers: Strong 2027 WR Target Gives Look Ahead Into Recruitment – 'Enjoying the Experience'

The Wisconsin Badgers extended a scholarship to a rising 2027 talent previously ahead of a pivotal season for the wide receiver.

Bryan Porter, a three-star 2027 wide receiver, has primarily been known for being the brother of five-star 2025 class Ohio State Buckeyes signee Quincy Porter. However, the receiver is determined to create his own story and has been on a productive path this summer. Porter recently picked up scholarship offers from Wisconsin, Ohio State, Pittsburgh, Illinois, and Toledo while previously receiving offers from Vanderbilt, Minnesota, Penn State, and Ole Miss.

When the offer was extended by the Badgers, Porter stated he felt “blessed to be offered by a school like Wisconsin” and feels more validated in his hard work with each other. The Wisconsin Badgers might be one of the newer programs to join the recruitment of Porter, but the staff aims to continue to work to develop a relationship with the recruit.

Porter is not just the brother of an accomplished receiver but rather someone who will carve out a different path for himself. Currently, Porter is ranked as a three-star recruit according to 247Sports but that could change for the recruit with another successful season under his belt.

A season ago, Porter sat behind his brother Quincy and Naiim Parrish a season ago but now has a much clearer path to the field. The receiver learned plenty of tricks from his brother on the field, and as far as things go off of the field, Quincy has continued to be an important presence. “He would just tell me to stay focused on the main thing and enjoy the process,” stated Porter.

Porter is currently the top ranked wide receiver in New Jersey and should only continue to see his recruitment grow given his skill-set on the field. The 6-foot, 190-pound receiver can do a bit of everything for an offense with his specialty being space creation against a variety of different types of defenders.
