The Wisconsin football staff has a slew of official visitors on campus currently and amongst them is a rising high three-star defensive back.

Zachary Taylor, a 2026 defensive back from Texas, is a top-500 recruit within the class and recently the recruit narrowed down his list of schools. Taylor is reportedly down to Houston, TCU, Pittsburgh, and Texas Tech and has been visiting each program currently.

Taylor is a versatile player at 6-feet tall with a deep background as a track athlete that has created success on the football field as well. The defensive back has extremely quick feet, great agility, and burning speed that can be hard to find. Taylor can reach full-speed with ease and stay in coverage with nearly any receiver at top speed.

The defensive back is still a relatively raw prospect from a technical standpoint and could need assistance in developing fully. However, the Wisconsin football staff sees a perfect fit into the mold the Badgers have created for Taylor which has led to a boost in his recruitment.

After extending a scholarship to Taylor in April, the Wisconsin football staff worked fast to secure an official visit from the talented defensive back.

With Taylor currently on campus the staff will again try to work magic and pull-off a potential commitment. The defensive back likely will not make a decision in Madison, however, as other programs such as Texas Tech are still major figures in the recruitment of Taylor.

The defensive back was recently on campus in Lubbock and had nothing but positive things to say about the official visit. The Fulshear native travelled across the state of Texas and reportedly loved visiting the Red Raiders. Taylor has another official visit after traveling to Madison with Pittsburgh and likely will make a decision following the conclusion of all official visits.
