While many uncommitted players have visited campus officially, the Wisconsin football staff also hosted a top commitment in the 2026 class.
Benjamin Novak, a three-star offensive lineman from Indiana, was back on campus for his official visit. Novak committed to Wisconsin back in October of 2024 and currently is the longest standing commitment in the class for the Badgers. Novak committed to Wisconsin over Kentucky, Louisville, Marshall, and Indiana among other schools.
The talented offensive lineman stands tall at 6-feet-6-inches and 310-pounds with plenty of power and technical prowess. Novak might be the longest standing commitment for Wisconsin, but the recruit is also one of the first prospects in the 2026 class that the staff began to heavily recruit. Landing Novak involved dedication and plenty of commitment from offensive line coach AJ Blazek.
While the 2026 recruiting class is far from complete for the Wisconsin football staff, Novak could be the recruit who makes the starting lineup first out of the class.
Novak is an agile, tall, and physical offensive lineman who rarely allows for anyone to move him backwards. The offensive lineman is difficult to work against given his massive frame and the intelligent footwork that Novak possesses. The talented recruit is an ideal fit within the Wisconsin ranks given his size and talents on the field.
Perhaps what could allow for Novak to enter the lineup quickest is his football intelligence which often sets the recruit apart. Novak is consistently reading the field and as a lineman the talent of Novak is incredibly valuable when trying to keep the quarterback upright.
Wisconsin has struggled at times with quarterback play, and allowing a quarterback friendly player like Novak to hit the field early could be a move the staff makes in the future.
