The Wisconsin football staff is set to host a 2026 class recruit who has been a long time scholarship holder and a priority recruit.
Ryan Estrada, a composite four-star running back in the 2026 class, has been a recruiting target for the Wisconsin football staff for well over a year. Estrada was offered a scholarship in April of 2024 and will now take an official visit on June 6th with the Badgers. The running back had previously been on campus last year but has not returned since for any other visits.
Estrada has already rounded out his official visit schedule and has already conducted a visit with Missouri to kickoff visit season. The running back will be in Madison for June 6th before visiting Minnesota and Alabama to finish off the remaining official visit schedule. Minnesota is currently considered to be the leader in the recruitment of Estrada.
While Estrada visiting might appear to be just another official visit, the talented running back is high on the board for the Wisconsin football staff.
The Badgers have been watching the Texas native closely and were one of the four lucky programs that managed to book an official visit. Wisconsin is going to have a tough road ahead with the visiting schedule Estrada has, which means the trip to Madison is going to be a valuable one.
Previously when Estrada was on campus the staff extended a scholarship offer just days after which put the program on the board. Since then, Alabama and Missouri have come into the picture and just might be the programs that pry Estrada away from Madison. Estrada left the Missouri visit with nothing but great things to say about the program, but remained tight-lipped about a potential commitment decision in the near future.
With the value that Estrada can offer, it is no surprise as to why the four programs are still putting all resources into earning a potential commitment.
Standing in at 5-feet-10-inches, Estrada is a shifty running back that can fly up and down the football field with ease. The running back sprints low and has developed a reputation for being a tough player to tackle once he is able to get a head of steam. In the backfield, Estrada is also dangerous as the running back only needs one cut before he is able to takeoff.
Estrada is also a valuable receiver in the passing game and has earned praise for his hands, which is something that the Wisconsin football staff is looking for. The dynamic running back would be an ideal fit in the new-look Jeff Grimes offense that is set to takeover Madison this upcoming season.
