WrestleMania rumored to be returning to Las Vegas for 2026

After hosting WrestleMania 41 in April, Las Vegas may be getting WWE’s biggest show for another go-around.

On Thursday, it was reported that WrestleMania 42 has been pulled out of New Orleans, where the event was initially scheduled and advertised for. Immediately, speculation began to run rampant on where the event will be held, with even international cities such as London being thrown in the mix.

However, Anthony McAuley of NOLA.com has thrown out the idea that WrestleMania could find its way to Las Vegas for the second consecutive year.

Could ‘The Show of Shows’ be headed to Las Vegas once again?

“After the success of this year’s event, the new leadership running WWE decided that they would rather hold next year’s event in Las Vegas and see what response they get from fans, according to an industry official who wasn’t authorized to be quoted by name,” wrote McAuley.

If Las Vegas does host WrestleMania, it would be the first time in WWE history where they have placed their biggest show in the same city for two straight years.

No dates for WrestleMania 42 have been confirmed as of this writing, and it is uncertain when WWE will announce the new location of the event. However, there is reason to believe why WWE would be interested in a return to Sin City. Outside of WWE being owned under the same umbrella as UFC under the banner TKO, WrestleMania 41 turned out to be a massive success for the company.

“It attracted a total attendance of 124,693 fans over two nights, a new WWE record for the largest gate revenue, making it the most successful and highest-grossing WrestleMania in the company’s history,” TKO said, per McAuley’s report.

“Beyond ticket sales, WrestleMania 41 also achieved record-breaking numbers in viewership, merchandise sales, sponsorship revenue, and social media engagement.”

Despite the excitement, there are some major hurdles that need to be addressed.

A source says that a concert has already been booked for around the time WrestleMania usually begins. The Las Vegas Convention Center, which WWE used for events during last year’s event, is also booked, so the company would have to work around that as well. Talks started back in March, but are only now surfacing since the news about New Orleans broke.

It is uncertain if Las Vegas will host WrestleMania so soon, but the fact it is on the table suggests serious interest.
