WWE has made quite the effort to increase their presence in Las Vegas in the last year and change.
Earlier this month, WWE made headlines by announcing that their flagship show WrestleMania would be returning to Las Vegas in April 2026. The decision comes off the heels of last year’s WrestleMania at Allegiant Stadium, which broke gate, merchandise and sponsorship records for the company. With owning company TKO also owning Las Vegas-based UFC, it makes sense that they would want a major event in a familiar market, especially after the success of last year.
Now, it sounds like WWE’s connection with Las Vegas could be going far beyond WrestleMania.
Some sources have reported that the recent chatter within TKO is that WWE will leave their current headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut, once their lease expires, then proceeding to move their operations to Las Vegas.
“According to WrestleVotes, there’s talk inside TKO about the possibility of moving WWE headquarters out west to Las Vegas once the lease on their Stamford facility expires. The potential move comes on the heels of Vince McMahon’s exit from the company, which has opened the door for several long-term changes to how WWE operates,” wrote Felix Upton of Ringside News.
The idea of WWE completely moving out west is a bit surprising, given that they recently moved to their new headquarters last year. It is unclear when the lease on WWE’s current headquarters expire, or if an agreement was reached with this scenario in mind. As a result, even if WWE does confirm the move to Las Vegas, it will likely be years down the road between the lease’s expiration and the company needing to build a new headquarters facility in Sin City.
However, bringing WWE and their operations sounds like another feather in the cap in the city’s ambitions of becoming a sports destination.
“To be clear, nothing is confirmed. But Las Vegas has been aggressively building itself into a sports and entertainment hotspot, making the city an appealing option for a global brand like WWE. What’s less clear is how a corporate headquarters — even one with WWE’s history — fits into Las Vegas’ broader tourism and attraction goals,” Upton continued.
WWE making their new home in Las Vegas could open the door for much more than WrestleMania coming to town.
