  • Saturday Night Main Event set for Nov 1 at Salt Lake City's Delta Center, streaming exclusively on Peacock.
  • The shows are part of a TKO Sports and Smith Entertainment deal with the Utah Sports Commission.
  • Cena’s final match is set for Dec 13 at a Saturday Night Main Event (teased for Boston); Nov 1 appearance uncertain.

This past Monday, the location for WWE’s next Saturday Night Main Event was confirmed. According to Fox News 13 in Utah, the event will be taking place in Salt Lake City, Utah, at the Delta Center.

The Next Saturday Night Main Event Location Is Part Of A Deal

The next Saturday Night Main Event is taking place on Saturday, November 1. The day before that, the same venue, the Delta Center, will be hosting WWE SmackDown. The Halloween edition of Friday Night SmackDown will no doubt be an exciting one. Anyway, as reported, Saturday Night Main Event will be airing exclusively on Peacock under a multi-year deal.

It’s worth mentioning that these two shows are part of a deal between TKO Sports and Utah investment company Smith Entertainment Group, along with the Utah Sports Commission. Chris Barney, who is with Smith Entertainment Group, talked about the deal with WWE and UFC. He said:

“We are thrilled that live WWE entertainment and UFC action will return to Utah. Every TKO event Delta Center has hosted has captivated fans and brought people from across the country into Salt Lake City, creating opportunities to showcase Utah’s world-class sports and entertainment landscape.”

One of the last times WWE visited Salt Lake City was for the November 29, 2024, episode of SmackDown. During that show, fans saw Jacob Fatu defeat Jey Uso, Shinsuke Nakamura get a win over Andrade, and the show opened with Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Naomi, IYO SKY, and Bayley brawling with the team of Liv Morgan, Nia Jax, Raquel Rodriguez, Tiffany Stratton, and Candice LeRae. It was one night before their WarGames Match at Survivor Series 2024.

The Saturday Night Main Event Before John Cena’s Retirement Match

No matches have been announced yet. But the event is just a little over a month before John Cena’s retirement match. As reported, WWE confirmed last week that Cena’s last match was going to take place at the Saturday Night Main Event on December 13. A location has yet to be announced, but it’s been teased that it’ll be in Boston, Massachusetts. His opponent hasn’t been revealed either.

This Sunday, August 31, Cena will be facing Logan Paul at Clash in Paris. Their feud began less than a week after Cena lost the Undisputed WWE Championship to Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam. Not only that, but after the match, Cena was attacked by a returning Brock Lesnar. Cena has been announced for the September 20 Wrestlepalooza PLE, and it’s rumored that’s when he will be facing Lesnar.

It’s unknown if Cena will be part of the November 1 Saturday Night Main Event, but there isn’t too much doubt, seeing that he doesn't have much time left of his WWE retirement tour.
