WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque shared on social media yesterday that WWE will be making a “huge announcement” today on their YouTube channel at 3:00 p.m. ET. / 12:00 p.m. PT.

It is widely expected within the industry that WWE will announce Saudi Arabia as the official host of WrestleMania 43.

What Does This Mean?

Unlike previous major Premium Live Events in Saudi, such as “The Greatest Royal Rumble,” the kingdom will not host a “special” WrestleMania created exclusively for them, but will host the standard, sole WrestleMania in 2027.

If Dave Meltzer’s numbers are correct, “WWE is reportedly set to receive more than $100 million for the weekend of events.”

This would mark the first time “The Grandest Stage of Them All” is held outside of North America. Also new for WrestleMania, fans in the United States will have to stream the event in the early afternoon to watch it live.

A two-night event, it remains to be seen what the card will look like for the event. Based on previous shows, the Saudi Arabia General Entertainment Authority will seek to bring in the WWE’s biggest names possible.

Next to WWE’s partnerships with Netflix and ESPN, this will be the most significant business move of TKO’s leadership of WWE. With key figures like Nick Khan, Mark Shapiro, and Ariel Emanuel involved in the negotiations, TKO will aim to maximize profitability in a record-breaking way.

Check WWE’s YouTube at 3:00 p.m. ET for the official announcement, as well as more coverage from Athlon Sports as the story unfolds.
