Check out the Xenomorph from Alien: Romulus and see what’s going to be haunting your nightmares.

The life-sized statue was spotted by Twitter user @avpgalaxy, who snapped close-up shots of the sci-fi horror film’s antagonist.

It looks to be about 9ft tall, with its signature forked tail and twin sets of fangs. There’s some battle damage on its head though, suggesting it’ll have a fight on its hands against the crew of the spaceship it's stowed aboard on.

Either that or it got knocked about a bit in the back of the truck it was transported in. In any case, it's our first proper look at the Xenomorph in broad daylight, without all the shadows it’s usually lingering in.

It’s yet more proof the film is opting for practical effects as opposed to CGI. As the Alien: Romulus director says, “there’s no green screen” in the film. See the life-sized Xenomorph statue below.
