When looking back at the college football career of former Alabama star AJ McCaron, it'd be pretty difficult to say things didn't work out for him in Tuscaloosa.
The former four-star recruit out of Mobile, Alabama was a part of three BCS National Championship teams, a two-time All-American and won three of college football's most prestigious awards.
However, Alabama wasn't the only school interested in McCaron during his recruitment. According to Rivals, the No. 123 overall recruit had offers from programs such as Auburn, Ole Miss, Miami and Tennessee among others.
While he may have plenty of SEC interest, on a recent episode of his podcast "The Dynasty," McCaron revealed that he may have deterred one SEC program by unknowingly asking about the coach's daughter to his face.
"I see a golf cart with two good looking girls on the back," McCaron said. "And I made a little comment like 'Damn...who are they showing around today?' He was like 'That's for you.' I was like 'Oh alright.' We go up to the top and the head coach does a spiel and at the end is like you know 'Have fun going around campus today and I'll talk to you in the end. Love having you here. Appreciate you being here. Anything else? You got any questions for me?'
"I said yeah, 'Who the hell you got on the golf carts out there?' I said 'You know those two girls are beautiful.' He looked at me dead in the eyes...he said 'Those are my daughters don't touch em.' Let's just say I didn't go end up going to school there."
It's unclear which program this was considering McCaron's only other recorded official was to Miami, but needless to say the interaction may have helped Alabama land him.
