Brooks Koepka-Bryson DeChambeau rivalry to be rekindled in fifth edition of 'The Match'

During the Ryder Cup, it looked as though the feud between Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau had hit a lull.

That's over now, with the PGA pros set to face off in the fifth installment of "The Match," which will air Thanksgiving weekend.

For those who are not familiar: The Match is an unofficial golf event that takes place in Las Vegas. Since the first big showdown between Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods, the event has been held in a match-play format. DeChambeau participated in the fourth Match paired up with Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and won over a pairing of Mickelson and Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady.

This rendition of The Match will only be played over 12 holes, which Golf.com suggests is a nod to boxing rounds.

While the Mickelson-Woods head-to-head matchup in 2018 gave fans a reason to watch golf in November, there's really no comparison to the potent rivalry between Koepka and DeChambeau that has been brewing over the last few years. Although the two appeared to shake hands during this year's Ryder Cup, the ongoing beef appears to be back on.
