Bryson DeChambeau is leaving no stone unturned as he prepares for the Masters this week.

On the official Masters website, there is a new "Range Tracker" feature this year, which shows what each player did in his practice session. On Tuesday, DeChambeau hit a whopping 393 range balls, which is an eye-opening figure for the 19th-ranked golfer in the world.

DeChambeau also played the back nine on Tuesday afternoon, adding to his practice workload. Asked why he spent so much time on the range, the two-time major winner explained that the was simply trying to fine tune some things.

"I played the back nine late in the afternoon yesterday, and just felt like I wasn't all the way there with my iron game and felt like I needed to be a bit more precise," DeChambeau said, via OutKick. "Came out here and hit some golf balls, hit however many I hit, it was a lot, and got some stuff dialed in and figured out so that's what makes me comfortable. Once I get that certain feel, play that draw, it's what makes me comfortable."

DeChambeau is a noted tinkerer, so it's possible he was simply just trying to be super precise more than he was actually searching for his swing. If it was the latter, that's a bad sign for his chances at Augusta this week.

Last year, DeChambeau turned in his best performance at the Masters so far, tying for sixth place.

This week, he addressed his infamous "par-67" comments from 2020, explaining that he wishes he never made them, but also never intended for them to come off as disrespectful of golf's most hallowed course.

"I’ve never disrespected Augusta internally," DeChambeau said of the Masters. "It’s the one I want to win. I stand there on the range and hit shots into the sun as it’s going down and I think to myself, ‘this is heaven, imagine being a part of this history’. And I think I will one day, because I have to think that. If I do, and when I do, it will be the proudest moment of my career.”

We'll see if that moment comes this Sunday.
