Defending Champion Rickie Fowler Commits to the Rocket Mortgage Classic 2024

Rickie Fowler, a fan-favorite and the defending champion has officially announced his highly-anticipated return to the Rocket Mortgage Classic in 2024. This announcement has sent waves of excitement through the PGA Tour fan base, especially those following Fowler's compelling career journey.

Fowler's decision to participate in the 2024 Rocket Mortgage Classic at the Detroit Golf Club from June 27-30 comes as no surprise to his fans. Although his formal partnership with Rocket Mortgage ended earlier this year, Fowler's loyalty to playing in the event speaks volumes. His victory at last year's tournament ended a winless streak that spanned over six years, making this commitment particularly noteworthy.

Confirmed to be joining Fowler in Detroit are Tom Kim and Will Zalatoris, who have both announced their commitments, both outstanding talents making waves on the tour. Kim, at just 21 years old, has already clinched three PGA Tour wins and is currently ranked 23rd in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR). Zalatoris, ranked 30th, is bouncing back from a back injury last season with a vengeance, securing three top-10 finishes this year, including at the Masters. Zalatoris recently made headlines after withdrawing from the CJ Cup to tend to his back.
