Bryson DeChambeau endured a miserable week at the PGA Championship and was sent packing early, after missing the cut at Aronimink.

DeChambeau has experienced a really strange 2026 season so far.

The 32-year-old has won twice on LIV Golf, but he has missed the cut in both major championships so far.

Bryson DeChambeau never got going at the PGA Championship this week, with his poor iron play and weak short game being badly exposed by the severely undulating greens at Aronimink.

The LIV Golf star needs to get back to basics and figure out where he has been going wrong at the majors because we all know he has the ability to win on the toughest golf courses on any given day.

DeChambeau would have been disappointed with his PGA Championship performance this week.

However, he still received a payment for his troubles this week.

Professional golf has been transformed beyond all recognition over the past four years regarding the finances in the sport.

Tournament purses grew exponentially after Tiger Woods burst onto the scene in the late 1990s.

However, the money in the game has reached quite frankly ludicrous levels since LIV Golf was formed in 2022, and the PGA Tour were forced into responding.

Even players who are missing cuts are receiving paychecks these days!

DeChambeau was one of the many golfers who missed out on weekend golf who didn’t leave Aronimink empty-handed.

However, the fee he received was nothing more than pocket change to him, given his extraordinary wealth.

Every single player who missed the cut this week at the PGA Championship received a $4,300 payment from the PGA of America.

That’s better than nothing, obviously, and it represents quite the change from days gone by when golfers wouldn’t be paid a penny for missing a cut.

Bryson DeChambeau seems lost right now

The $4,300 would not have done anything to improve DeChambeau’s mood after his missed cut at Aronimink.

He faces an uncertain future right now, with Saudi Arabia’s PIF set to pull their funding from LIV Golf at the end of this season.

His form at the major championships will be a huge concern to him as well.

Bryson DeChambeau is a world-class golfer on his day but he’s simply not producing the goods in the very biggest tournaments right now.

Sadly, the LIV golfer seems completely lost.

Where he will be playing his golf in the future remains to be seen. However, in the here and now, he needs to focus on addressing his very obvious deficiencies in the major championships.
