Joaquín Niemann has won his fifth LIV title of 2025 following an impressive showing on Sunday during the final round of the LIV Golf UK. The 26-year-old Chilean golfer claimed the title with a three-stroke win at LIV Golf UK, held at the JCB Golf & Country Club in England.
Niemann finished the tournament at 17 under par, three strokes ahead of Bubba Watson. It was another display of confident and steady play from Niemann, who has now won more individual LIV titles than any other player in the league’s short history. All five of his wins this season came within just a few months, including earlier victories in Adelaide, Singapore, Mexico City, and Virginia.
“Well, I’m going to talk for the first two days because today I didn’t feel like I had my best,” Niemann said after the victory. “Yeah, it was great. I was able to flow on tough situations. I felt like today I was pretty calm, pretty chill, until Bubba (Watson) started playing golf.”
Bubba Watson made a late push at Niemann during the final round, shooting 8-under over a six-hole stretch that included two eagles on par 5s. He closed the gap to just two shots with four holes left, but a bogey on the par-4 15th while Niemann made birdie pushed the lead back to four, ending Watson’s chances with only three holes to play. Niemann revealed that he felt some pressure before he settled in to finish three shots clear on 17 under.
“…Yeah, he made it tough for me. I was actually feeling the pressure on 13, 14, but, yeah, just stay in the present. Yeah, was able to hit a great shot on 15. After that put me back into my place.”
Niemann earned $4 million on Sunday, as he extends his lead at the top of the LIV Golf individual standings. Only two events remain — one in Chicago and another in Indianapolis — before the season wraps up with the team championship in Michigan. This win also gives Niemann seven individual LIV titles overall, making him the most successful individual player in LIV history. Even more impressive, all seven wins have come in just 21 LIV appearances.
While Niemann has dominated in LIV events, success at major championships has been harder to find. His best finish in a major so far is a tie for 8th at the 2025 PGA Championship. He has yet to crack the top 20 in any of the other majors he’s played. However, with his current form and growing confidence, many believe it’s only a matter of time before he breaks through on golf’s biggest stages.
