The whole kerfuffle surrounding whether to include LIV Golf competitors in major events has bled into the 2023 golf season. And when it comes to the biennial Ryder Cup, Jon Rahm just wants the PGA Tour and DP World Tour to make a decision together.
"There are some people that are going to have to make some tough choices, right?" the Spaniard said this week at the Tournament of Champions, via CBS Sports. "A little bit of that is out of my reach. My guess is I hope the PGA of America and the European Tour make a decision together. I don't think it would be smart to have one team allowing LIV players and one not to."

It's easy to see why the world-ranked No. 5 feels this way. While the 2023 Ryder Cup won't take place until September, the discussion revolving around whether or not golfers on the LIV circuit will be allowed to participate has been going on for the better part of a year.
At this point, it would benefit everyone involved if the two sides worked together to come to a uniform decision -- preferably well ahead of when the American and European captains make their respective picks for who will be on their teams.
Now, whether Rahm actually wants any LIV Golf competitors on the European team appears to still be unknown. (At least, he hasn't been as vocal about that side of things as his future teammate Rory McIlroy has been.) Nevertheless, Rahm clearly wants a decision to be made one way or the other before it becomes an even bigger issue than it already is.
