In an unanticipated turn of events, Jon Rahm, the newly crowned LIV Golf League individual champion, will not partake in the upcoming LIV Golf Team Championship semi-final at Maridoe Golf Club, Texas. Rahm, who was poised to lead Legion XIII against Phil Mickelson's HyFlyers GC, has been sidelined due to severe flu symptoms.

Legion XIII revealed on social media the reason for Rahm's absence and wished their star player a speedy recovery. This development comes just a week after Rahm's stellar performance in Chicago, where he secured the individual title and an $18 million prize, signaling a significant blow to Legion XIII's team championship prospects.

Stepping into Rahm's spot for the tournament is John Catlin, a seasoned replacement known for his roles covering for injuries within the league, notably for Charles Howell III of Crusher GC. Catlin's participation marks a critical pivot for Legion XIII as they face off in the first singles match against the HyFlyers.
