If you thought LIV Golf couldn't possibly get itself involved in any more tomfoolery, get a load of this week's latest legal kerfuffle.
LIV nightclub in Miami has filed a court action against Greg Norman's rogue golf circuit. The reason? The Saudi Arabia-funded golf league wants to trademark its name, and the iconic hotspot at the Fountainebleau Hotel is blocking the heck out of it by filing a Notice of Opposition, trademark attorney Josh Gerben explained via Twitter this week.

Things just don't seem to be coming easy for LIV Golf as it readies for the second event of its sophomore season in Tucson this weekend. The breakaway league is dealing with abysmal TV ratings and continued opposition from the Official World Golf Ranking system, even though some of the biggest players in the world joined Norman's tour last year.
Now if you've been following along with the LIV Golf saga, you know that Norman is always up for a fight. So it will be interesting to see what kind of a response he has to being blocked from trademarking his pet league.
Stay tuned.
