Amazon has been expanding its coverage of major sports for the last several years, and they have now secured media rights to the biggest golf tournament of the year.
On Tuesday, Amazon Prime and the Masters announced that the streaming giant will carry live tournament coverage beginning in 2026. The Masters will stream live on Prime Video from 1 p.m. EST through 3 p.m. EST on Thursday and Friday, which are the first two rounds of the tournament.
In past years, live TV coverage of tournament play began at 3 p.m. EST on ESPN for the first and second rounds. ESPN’s coverage will still begin at the same time, with Amazon carrying an additional two hours before that each day.
CBS will exclusively carry the third and final rounds on Saturday and Sunday, with coverage beginning at 2 p.m. EST each day as it always has.

The change is a welcome one for golf fans. While fans have been frustrated in recent years with sporting event coverage moving to streaming services, Amazon will provide additional coverage of the Masters rather than replacing television coverage. The Masters streams certain feature groups and coverage of specific holes on its website and app before TV coverage begins, but fans have long complained that more of the tournament should be aired.
Amazon currently has the rights to the NFL’s “Thursday Night Football” and will begin steaming NBA games this upcoming season. They are reportedly working to add some notable names to their NBA coverage and will likely do the same with the Masters.
