Despite finishing his opening round at the FedEx St. Jude Championship on Thursday with a double-bogey, Max Homa, largely had a successful day on the links. The 31-year-old registered six birdies and 11 pars and as of mid-afternoon, his four-under 66 had him tied for 13th place and only four strokes off the lead.
Late in the action, Homa sent a wild tee well off the fairway that landed in an unusual spot, forcing him to take a drop and be penalized one stroke.
