More Scottie Scheffler News Revealed on Ryder Cup after Open Championship Victory

Scottie Scheffler continued his incredible run in 2025 by winning The Open Championship at Royal Portrush, Northern Ireland, with a commanding four-shot victory. The win marks his fourth major title and second this year, after clinching the PGA Championship in May.

Scheffler’s final-round 68 capped off a dominant week, where he shot 68-64-67-68 to finish 14-under. His performance has drawn comparisons to Tiger Woods, especially with how he controlled the tournament from start to finish.

Following his Open triumph, more attention has turned to Scheffler’s place in the U.S. Ryder Cup team. Scheduled for September 26–28, 2025, at Bethpage Black Course in New York, the Ryder Cup will see the world number one lead the American squad.

Scheffler currently tops the U.S. Ryder Cup standings, solidifying his automatic qualification. Likely pairings are already being discussed, with Xander Schauffele, ranked second, emerging as a potential partner given their success and shared experience in team events.
