Okay, I need to take a breath here because Netflix just confirmed what we’ve all been waiting for: Full Swing Season 4 is officially coming this April. APRIL, people. Not “sometime in 2026” or “later this year.” We’re talking a few months away, and I am utterly ecstatic.
Look, I’ll be the first to admit I’m completely obsessed with this show. When Season 1 dropped in 2023, I cleared my entire weekend. Season 2? Same thing. Season 3, last February, had me glued to my couch, ignoring texts and pretending I had “important plans.” There’s just something about getting that behind-the-scenes access to the PGA Tour that hits different. The raw emotions, the family drama, the pressure cooker moments when everything’s on the line, it’s addictive in the best possible way.
And now we know Season 4 is coming in April, which means we’re about to relive one of the most incredible years in recent golf history. Because let’s be honest: 2025 was absolutely bonkers for professional golf.
First off, we’re getting the Ryder Cup. THE RYDER CUP. If you followed that event at Bethpage Black, you know it was pure theater. The tension, the drama, the crowd, controversies, everything that makes the Ryder Cup appointment viewing was cranked up to eleven. And now we’re going to see what really happened behind closed doors? The locker room speeches, the strategy sessions, the private moments when players are dealing under the pressure of representing their country? Sign me up immediately.
But here’s what really has me hyped: Rory McIlroy won the Masters. Rory. Won. The. Masters. The man finally completed the career Grand Slam, and if Netflix cameras were there capturing that journey, we’re about to witness one of the most significant moments in modern golf history from the inside. All those years of near-misses at Augusta, all that pressure, all those expectations, and then finally, that green jacket moment. I’m getting emotional just thinking about watching it unfold.
And we can’t forget about Scottie Scheffler, who just continued his reign of absolute dominance by capturing two more major championships. The guy is playing a different game than everyone else right now, and I desperately want to see what makes him tick. How does he sustain that level of consistency? What’s going through his head when he’s dismantling fields week after week?
Then there’s J.J. Spaun’s breakthrough at the U.S. Open, talk about a storyline that embodies everything we love about golf. The underdog moment, the dream fulfilled, the years of grinding finally paying off. That’s the kind of human story that Full Swing does better than anyone.
What I love most about this show is how it’s changed the way we experience professional golf. It’s done for golf what Drive to Survive did for Formula 1: pulled back the curtain and showed us the real human beings behind the performances. We see the doubt, the fear, the joy, the relief. We see players as fathers, husbands, friends, and competitors dealing with the same pressures and insecurities we all face, just on the biggest stage imaginable.
Netflix hasn’t announced the cast yet or given us a specific premiere date beyond “April,” but honestly? I don’t even care. Whatever they’ve captured from 2025, I know it’s going to be spectacular. The ingredients are all there: historic achievements, genuine drama, personal struggles, and that ever-present question of what the future holds for professional golf.
April can’t come soon enough. I’m already planning to clear my schedule, stock up on snacks, and settle in for what could honestly be the best season yet. Who’s with me?
