Nick Dunlap has stormed the PGA Tour, clinching the coveted 2024 PGA Tour Rookie of the Year award with a season that will be talked about for years to come. The 20-year-old golfer's achievements, which include wins as both an amateur and a professional in the same season, have not only etched his name in history books but also signal the arrival of golf's potential next big star.

PGA TOUR Commissioner Jay Monahan praised Dunlap’s remarkable season: “Nick carved out his place in the PGA TOUR record book. To begin 2024 as a collegiate golfer and end it with two PGA TOUR victories and among the top 50 players in the FedExCup is truly impressive.”

Starting the year as a sophomore at the University of Alabama, Dunlap's win at The American Express in January made him the first amateur to triumph at a PGA TOUR event since Phil Mickelson in 1991. This victory was highlighted by a stunning 60 in the third round, which set up a narrow one-shot win in just his fourth TOUR start. Not resting on his laurels, Dunlap turned professional days later, quickly adding a victory at the Barracuda Championship to his resume.

Dunlap's feats include joining Tiger Woods as one of the only players to win both the U.S. Junior Amateur and the U.S. Amateur, reinforcing the early comparisons drawn between their careers. Ending the season No. 49 in the FedExCup, Dunlap secured his spot in the TOUR's 2025 Signature Events, promising fans more thrilling performances to come.
