Scottie Scheffler isn't taking a breather after his triumphant win at the PGA Championship. He's back on the course four days post-victory, competing in the 2025 Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas, running from May 22 to May 25.
At the PGA Championship held at Quail Hollow, Scheffler clinched his first Wanamaker Trophy, marking his third major title. He finished with an 11-under 273, securing a five-shot victory over competitors like Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm . This win also marked his 15th PGA Tour title and added over $3.4 million to his earnings.
Now at the Charles Schwab Challenge, Scheffler began with an impressive eagle on his first hole, followed by a birdie on the second.
However, he concluded the opening round with a 2-under 68, placing him tied for 20th, five strokes behind leader John Pak, who shot a bogey-free 63 . The tournament features a strong field, including top-ranked players like Hideki Matsuyama, Tommy Fleetwood, and Maverick McNealy. The second and third spots are bagged by Patrick Rodgers and Matthias Schmid respectively.
Oh by the way, Scottie Scheffler eagled his first hole after winning the PGA Championship.

Colonial Country Club, known for its narrow, tree-lined fairways, demands precision over power. The course is a par 70, stretching 7,289 yards, and offers a $9.5 million prize fund.
The verdict is in.
