PGA Tour Pro Fires Back Profanity-Laced Tirade amid Houston Open Dispute

Min Woo Lee captured his first PGA Tour victory on Sunday, winning the 2025 Texas Children's Houston Open. But it did not come without its fair share of controversy.

His final-round playing partner, Alejandro Tosti, reportedly took exception to how long Lee played the par-5 8th hole and called rules officials. That led to the Argentinian pro appearing as though he returned the favor in kind, playing mercilessly slow the rest of the round.

That prompted NBC Sports' Jim 'Bones' Mackay to call him out on television.

""I don't know what's going on, but Tosti is playing at his own pace," Mackay said.

"At times, it's normal. At times, it's glacially slow. But he's decided on this particular hole to really take his time, and he's holding up play in this last group."

Tosti was seen walking well behind Lee down the 12th fairway.

On Monday, Tosti took to social media to fire back amid the criticism. He did not pull any punches, launching into a profanity-laced tirade that he later removed from X, formerly Twitter.

However, screenshots of his post were captured by Golf Channel analyst Brentley Romine.

"Playing at my own pace... omg," Tosti wrote.

"Because I took a piss on the restroom and prepared myself a drink, I am 'slow playing and trying to throw off my playing partners.'"

"Go f**k yourself failures."

He was not done there though.

It was also reported that Tosti and the third member of the group with Lee, Ryan Fox, got into it on the first hole.

"BTW Stop the fake news idiots. There was no confrontation with Fox on the 1st hole," Tosti wrote.

It is easy to see why Tosti would pull his comments down. He did not refute the report that he called rules officials on the eventual champion. However, it is also not clear exactly what he said.

Tosti carded a 2-under 68 on Sunday, which dropped him into a tie for fifth with Rory McIlroy, Wyndham Clark and Taylor Pendrith.

The 28-year-old pro from Argentina is having a very up-and-down season. This was his second top-10, having also secured a T10 at the Mexico Open at VidantaWorld. But he has also missed five cuts in the nine PGA Tour events in 2025.
