The 2026 seasons for both the PGA Tour and LIV Golf are already stirring plenty of anticipation, even with the off-season in full swing.
Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy are taking a well-earned break, while over in LIV Golf, Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm are also making the most of some downtime.
The PGA Tour has introduced a few changes for next year, including a new Signature Event in Miami. The season will start later than usual, too, after The Sentry was canceled due to water conservation issues in Maui.
LIV Golf has made adjustments to its schedule as well, adding events in South Africa and Louisiana. These tweaks should keep fans interested throughout the year.
So when will we see golf’s top names back out there? Here’s a look at when play gets underway again.
World number one Scottie Scheffler is set to play at the Hero World Challenge on December 4th, aiming for his third consecutive win there. After that, he’s likely to return in late January for the official start of his 2026 PGA Tour campaign.
Rory McIlroy, who often spaces out his appearances, is currently playing in Abu Dhabi this week. He’s also scheduled for the DP World Tour Championship next week and will travel to Melbourne in December for the Australian Open.
Tommy Fleetwood has a similar schedule to McIlroy, playing both Abu Dhabi and Dubai this month before heading back to Florida for The Skins game later in November.
Spieth has struggled with form recently but remains a big name. His next appearance will be at the Hero World Challenge in early December.
The Skins Game on November 28th will be where Thomas returns before joining Spieth and Scheffler at the Hero World Challenge.
