It has been quite a while since we got to see the world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler dominate the course. He last participated in the Ryder Cup for Team USA, which rallied to give Team Europe a solid fight, losing only by two points. It was the closest margin between the two teams since 2012.
Scheffler arrived at the Ryder Cup in top form, having won the Procore Championship, but he struggled in match play, committing miscues in crucial moments and turning in a disappointing points return for the U.S. side. He remains world class individually but has yet to translate that dominance to consistent Ryder Cup success in team contexts.
Since then, the man has been enjoying a good break away from the sport. Amid that, he announced an exciting new update on Monday. Turtlebox, an outdoor speaker brand known for its rugged audio lineup, has partnered with Scheffler. It is making him the new brand ambassador.
"Welcome to the family @scottie.scheffler," Turtlebox posted on Instagram. "We’re pumped to announce our new ambassador!"
"On the course, he’s the best golfer in the world. But off the course, he’s all about family, faith, country music, and perfecting his latte art. Meet the golf superstar and our newest friend, Scottie," the brand added.
Scheffler shot a small segment with Turtlebox, returning to the familiar fairways with Leon Majcen's "Thinking 'Bout Love" playing in the background. Talk about poetic.
The champ is expected to play in the Hero World Challenge from Dec. 4-7, his sole appearance before 2026. Recently, Jordan Spieth was also added to the field along with Akshay Bhatia and others. But sadly, world No. 3 Xander Schauffele has chosen to exit the field.
