Scottie Scheffler earned $10,000 per golf shot in 2026

Scottie Scheffler just polished off the most lucrative season in PGA Tour history. By winning the Tour Championship and claiming the $10 million FedEx Cup prize, the World No. 1 finished the year with a whopping $30.9 million in on-course earnings.

According to Skratch, Scheffler banked a total of $53,937,525 this year, the highest total in a single season in PGA Tour history. If you break that figure down, the 30-year-old earned nearly $700,000 per competitive round on Tour and more than $10,000 per shot hit in competition.

Every drive down the middle of the fairway? $10,000. Every iron shot right at the pin? Another $10,000. Every two-foot tap-in on the green? You guessed it — another $10,000 in his pocket.

How would you like to add $10,000 to your bank account every time you hit a golf shot? Well, Scheffler just lived it for a full season.

With his impressive win at the Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club, Scheffler officially passed Tiger Woods on the PGA Tour career earnings list. Woods has banked more than $120 million in his unrivaled career, but Scheffler's dominant run dating back to 2022 has pushed him to $130.3 million in on-course earnings.

Scheffler isn't just surpassing Woods in earnings, though. The superstar is starting to match the golf legend in on-course accomplishments.

In Woods' age 28-30 seasons, he recorded 18 wins and four major championship titles in 61 starts while gaining an average of 3.04 strokes per round. Some of the Scheffler-Woods comparisons are erroneous, but it's impossible to deny that Scheffler's recent stretch rivals Woods' in the same time frame. This is a special run of dominance we might not see again for a long, long time.
