Scottie Scheffler is the top star in the world of golf at the moment, and for good reason. He's a two-time major champion this year, winning the PGA Championship earlier in the summer before ending the major calendar with the Open Championship.

Scheffler is also a two-time Masters champion, and he's been the No. 1 player in the world for the better part of the last three years. 2025 has been close to a perfect year for Scheffler, and it's about to get even better.

The top golfer on the planet won't swing a club this weekend, but he's still set to make a lot of money.

Scheffler will not be on the course this week, but as the top player in the PGA Tour for the regular season, he's set to earn a $18 million bonus.

Due to his victories throughout the season, Scheffler has built an insurmountable lead in the FedEx Cup standings ahead of the annual playoffs. His four Tour wins have earned him a total of $19,202,883 in prize money, by far the most on tour this year.

Scheffler earned an additional $3.42 million for the PGA Championship, and $3.1 million for winning the Open Championship at Royal Portrush.

Scheffler has been dominant on the course in his career, but recently discussed what truly motivates him and pushes him forward.

"This is not a fulfilling life," Scheffler said before winning the Open Championship earlier this month.

"It's fulfilling from the sense of accomplishment, but it's not fulfilling from a sense of the deepest places of your heart ... That's why I talk about family being my priority, because it really is. I'm blessed to be able to come out here and play golf, but if my golf ever started affecting my home life or it ever affected the relationship I have with my wife or my son, that's going to be the last day that I play out here for a living."

Scheffler married his wife Meredith in 2020, and they have a son together named Bennett. Bennett was prominently featured during both of Scheffler's major wins this year, joining his parents in celebration after the 18th hole.
