Watch: Adam Hadwin TOSSES golf club in frustration after hitting shot in water at 17th hole
Jason Parkhurst-USA TODAY Sports

Golf can sometimes get a little frustrating. This was once again seen during The Players Championship when Adam Hadwin lost his cool which led to a furious outburst. The Canadian International would end up tossing his golf club away.

The TPC Sawgrass is notorious for being a difficult course. Hadwin was reminded of his when his shots at the 17th and 18th hole both ended up in the water.

Coming into the iconic par-3 17th hole where Ryan Fox had recorded an ace before, Hadwin was hoping for some of the same luck. In his previous 28 rounds here, the 36-year-old had never hit the water at this hole.

Unfortunately, that streak came to an end this Thursday as he ended up putting his shot in the water. He would card a double bogey on this hole and moved on the 18th.

Things however did not change for him. His first shot nearly touched the water in the penalty area. This was followed by a hit which this time went into the water. Angered by this, Hadwin would throw away his club.

His wife Jessica Hadwin who has been super active on social media would react to it. Taking to her X account, she would rate his golf club toss a perfect ten.

I have seen the moment in question. If I’m going simply on the aesthetic of the toss….10/10 Jessica Hadwin on Adam Hadwin’s club toss.

Paige Spiranac sends four-word message to Adam Hadwin’s club toss

Adam Hadwin found himself trending all over the internet for all the wrong reasons. His two misfortunate shots at the 17th and 18th hole which led to his fierce reaction became the talk of the golfing community. This led to many throwing their reactions to it, including Paige Spiranac.

The social media influencer would send a four-word message to Hadwin for this. Taking to her X account, Spiranac reacted to this development while writing:

Elite club toss here Paige Spiranac on Adam Hadwin’s club toss.

This is though not the first time she has trolled Hadwin for his unfortunate moments. In June 2023, the Canadian golfer was demolished by a security guard when he tried to celebrate the Canadian Open triumph of Nick Taylor.

At that time, Spiranac did not say a single thing. Instead she shared a meme of the situation which referred to Hadwin as The Weekend (Saturday and Sunday) getting crushed by security guard as Monday.

Though Hadwin has claimed he has learnt his lesson, he might need to take some anger management classes to keep his cool. At the moment he is currently tied at 126th spot, while being 3-over par 72. He will need a strong comeback on Friday to stay in contention of making the cut.
