Scottie Scheffler is officially a three-time major champion after he won the 2025 PGA Championship on Sunday, but the World No. 1 golfer had a bit of a rookie moment while celebrating his latest feat.
Scheffler finished five shots clear of the field at 11-under to win the 107th PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, N.C. While celebrating the victory, he quickly learned a little something about his newest trophy.
As Scheffler raised the Wannamaker Trophy into the air, the top popped off and fell to the ground.

Scheffler's previous two wins came at the Masters, so he had never raised the Wannamaker Trophy before. The man certainly knows how to put on a green jacket, but he was a first-timer with the PGA Championship hardware.
There is no question that Scheffler is the best golfer in the world. He already has 12 top-10 finishes in major championships and is favored in just about every tournament in which he plays for good reason. He should have another chance to practice celebrating with the Wannamaker Trophy before his career is over.
