Obviously, a Mystik Dan would set the stage for a huge Belmont Stakes as Dan could be the first horse since Justify in 2018 to win the Triple Crown.
While that's partially putting the cart before the horse, the Preakness is still slated to be an intensely exciting race.
Both No. 8 Tuscan Gold and No. 9 Imagination appear to be contenders as well. Each is young and relatively spry which will certainly give them an edge. Whether it's enough to take the victory will be clear on Saturday.
Another relevant factor is the potential rain. While it's not clear if it will shower, any rain will effect the outcome.
