Sir Winston, the winner of the 2019 Belmont Stakes, was represented by his first foal, a filly out of Pretty Clever (Hard Spun).
The foal was bred by Tracy Farmer, and born at his Shadowlawn Farm in Midway, Ky., on Jan. 30.
Pretty Clever is a half-sister to Saratoga stakes winner Can You Diggit and daughter of another Saratoga stakes winner Mineralogist. This is the immediate family of three-time Grade 1-winning millionaire Antespend.
Sir Winston (Awesome Again x La Gran Bailadora, by Afleet Alex) was a stakes-winning 2-year-old, American classic-winning 3-year-old, and a graded stakes winner after the age of three.
An earner of $1,277,623, Sir Winston won or placed in eight stakes, six being graded stakes, and a record of 6-4-1 from 20 starts.
Sir Winston stands at Pope McLean's Crestwood Farm for $7,500.
