Indy 500 Winner Alex Palou Has 1-Word Response To NASCAR Question

Now that Alex Palou has won "The Greatest Spectacle in Racing," could he turn his attention over to NASCAR? 

Palou, a three-time IndyCar Series champion, earned the first oval victory of his career this past Sunday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. He also made history by becoming he first Spanish driver to win the Indy 500.  

"I cannot believe it," Palou said on the Victory Podium. "It’s amazing to win. There were some moments that I felt really good in the race, but at the end I didn’t know if I was going to able to pass Marcus or not, but I made it happen." 

Though he's just a few days removed from winning the Indy 500, Palou is already thinking about what's next for his career. 

During an appearance on "Kevin Harvick's Happy Hour," the Indy 500 champion was asked if he'd consider competing on a NASCAR road course. His answer was pretty straightforward: "Absolutely." 

Palou told Kevin Harvick that he'd love to race on either a road or street course. 

"Oh, absolutely," Palou said. "I would be down for that. I mean, it’s a very different car, very different kind of racing. I know I would get smashed by all of you guys on ovals, but I would love to give it a try on a road or a street course."
