It seems like summer flew by, but winter will be here before you know it. And with winter comes rain, cold drafts, and other icky weather that can impact your home. The best time to prepare for winter weather and other hallmarks of the season, like holiday decorating, is right now before the stress of the season sets in.

If the leaves have started to fall in your neighborhood, it's probably time to clean out those gutters. Clogged gutters can cause damage to multiple areas of your home's exterior, especially in seriously rainy or icy conditions.

Keeping your home warm during the winter can be expensive, especially if you're living with drafty doors and windows. Use a little caulk or weather stripping to seal up any leaky windows or entryways, and prepare to see some savings in your annual heating bill.
