For 2025, the Peoria Javelinas will be the home for several prospects for the Reds, Orioles, Twins, Padres, and Mariners. This year’s Javelinas roster includes a Major Leaguer looking to make up for a lost season, plus several notable hitting prospects from the Reds, Orioles, and Mariners.

As is the theme with the Arizona Fall League rosters covered thus far, Major League teams use it as a tool to get previously-injured players extra playing time. Miguelangel Boadas missed all of 2025 on the IL. As did Carson Montgomery, who’s thrown seven innings since going pro in 2023.

Orioles pitchers Carson Dorsey and Brandon Downer, both 2024 draft picks, didn’t hit the 50-inning marker this season.

Rhett Lowder, meanwhile, will work down in Arizona after he didn’t pitch in the Majors at all in 2025. The rookie right-hander started the year on the IL with a forearm strain. Despite making multiple rehab outings at different points of the year, he didn’t pitch at the MLB level in 2025.

Lowder was hit hard (15 hits, two home runs over 9.1 IP) across five rehab starts this season.

The former Wake Forest star is one of four Reds pitchers on the staff. Also on the team is Luke Hayden, an eight-rounder out of Indiana State who touched 97 MPH down in the Florida State League in his pro debut in 2024. Hayden walked 72 over 101 innings this season.

Minnesota will send a couple of interesting pitchers. Hunter Hoopes’ slow changeup, which floated in the 79-81 MPH range, netted him a 52% Whiff% down in Low-A as part of a terrific 2025. Hoopes can run it up to 96-97 MPH with his heater. The Twins pitcher shot up from Low-A to Double-A this season.

He’ll be joined by Zander Sechrist, the former CWS champion with Tennessee, who struck out 58 over 69 frames this season.

There are also the Rule 5-eligible pitchers. Tyler Cleveland, a sidearmer starter-turned-reliever, posted a .87 ERA and didn’t allow a home run across 51.2 IP this season. Cleveland was a 14th-round pick in 2022.

Marcelo Perez, who struck out 62 over 91.2 IP this season, is also a Rule 5-eligible player. As is Stefan Raeth, who also picked up a lot of strikeouts (62 K, .206 opp. AVG over 57.1 IP) in the Minors.

One last note: watch for Orioles left-hander Luis De Leon. De Leon struck out 107 over 87 frames this season. Uncomfortable pitcher to face.

Catchers

Player MLB Team Highest Level
Ethan Anderson Orioles AA
Alfredo Duno Reds A
Lamar King Padres A+

Peoria has star power behind the dish.

Ethan Anderson was a very good hitter at UVA who didn’t put up great overall stats this season. The 22-year-old, a second-rounder last July, did much better as the year went on. He slashed .299/.378/.416 in August.

However, arguably the best overall prospect on the Javelinas this season is Alfredo Duno, the 19-year-old who excelled in full-season ball. Duno slashed .287/.430/.518 (.948 OPS) in Daytona (A) across 113 games. Duno finished the year with the fifth-most barreled-up baseballs (21) in the Florida State League. He also walked more (95) than he struck out (91).

Duno threw out 24.3% of runners this season.

Infielders

Player MLB Team Highest Level
Billy Amick Twins A+
Leo Balcazar Reds AA
Cam Collier Reds AA
Ryan Jackson Padres AA
Charlie Pagliarini Mariners A+
Brock Rodden Mariners AA
Brandon Winokur Twins A+

The AFL will serve as an outlet to get additional playing time for Billy Amick (266 PA, 59 GP) and Cam Collier (396 PA, 95 GP), both of whom missed significant time this season.

Collier, a first-rounder in 2022, had a down power season. He had 26 extra-base hits but just four home runs.

Brandon Winokur, a third-round pick back in 2023, got chase-happy in his first full pro season back in 2024. Winokur chased at pitches nearly 31% of the time that year, one that saw him strike out 115 over 94 contests. This season with Cedar Rapids, he hit 17 home runs as a 20-year-old. But, he struck out 131 times with the Kernels.

Outfielders

Player MLB Team Level
Enrique Bradfield Jr. Orioles AAA
Jonny Farmelo Mariners A+
Braedon Karpathios Padres AA
Hendry Mendez Twins AA
Thomas Sosa Orioles AA

Jonny Farmelo has been snake-bitten with injuries each of the last two seasons. Farmelo missed roughly three months of the 2025 MiLB season. A former first-rounder, Farmelo has only played 75 games between his first two pro seasons.

Hendry Mendez, acquired by the Twins in the Harrison Bader trade, walks a lot and posted a .399 total on-base percentage between Reading and Wichita (AA) this season.

And Enrique Bradfield Jr. is a former first-rounder with plus speed and could be the Orioles’ future center fielder. That speed can impact the game on the basepaths, as well. Bradfield Jr. stole 36 bases across 76 games last year.
