It’s officially Cape Cod League season, as many of the top college players will go to Massachusetts to either raise their MLB Draft stocks for 2026 or beyond. There are several notable players among the list of individuals on the Bourne Braves, including FSU standout John Stuetzer, as well as LSU’s Trent Caraway.

Pitchers

Name 2026 School
Jaden Alba Arizona State
Brendon Bennett Clemson
Rhys Bowie Wake Forest
Jack Brown Louisville
Adam Buczkowski Cincinnati
Madden Clement Virginia Tech
Ben Dean Duke
Jackson Kircher Arkansas
Dominic Mauro Cincinnati
Austin Musso Arizona State
Nick Robert Miami (FL)
Noah Scott Oregon State
Brandon Shannon Louisville
Isaiah Shayter Penn State
Aiden Stillman Vanderbilt
Will Whelan Minnesota

If you like college relievers, this is a team to watch. There are several high-octane relievers who performed well this season, one of whom was Cincinnati’s Adam Buczkowski. Sixty-three strikeouts over 41 frames this season for the Bearcats. He’s joined by Dominic Mauro, a junior with a mid-90s fastball.

Rhys Bowie put up gaudy strikeout numbers on a stacked Wake Forest pitching staff this season. Bowie struck out 69 over 39 innings this season as a sophomore, and possesses a fastball that ran up to 98 MPH this season.

Junior Jaden Alba didn’t throw the volume that Kole Klecker or Cole Carlon did with ASU this season. However, there’s intrigue here, highlighted by a low-to-mid-90s fastball with cut that’s become en vogue amongst the analytics community.

Alba will be joined by soon-to-be-sophomore Austin Musso, who was hitting 92-93 MPH as a freshman.

Vandy pitcher Aiden Stillman, who struck out 21 over 14 innings thrown between the rotation & bullpen, is also on Bourne.

Catchers

Name 2026 School
Andrew Costello Wake Forest
Mark Quatrani Notre Dame

Amidst a crowded depth chart that included senior Jimmy Keenan and MLB Draft-eligible Matt Conte, Andrew Costello hit four home runs as a freshman with Wake Forest. He’s one of two catchers listed on this team.

Mark Quatrani, a junior who finished as the Fighting Irish team leader in hits (80), ahead of now-former ND outfielder Bino Watters, hit 15 home runs this season in South Bend.

Infielders

Name 2026 School
Trent Caraway LSU
Luke Costello Wake Forest
Lee Ellis Ohio State
Garrett Michel Arizona State
Blake Schaaf Wake Forest
Ryker Waite Vanderbilt

Speaking of 2026 Draft-eligible players, Trent Caraway is in the Cape Cod League as he looks to find some headway after what was a lost season for him. Caraway, who transferred from Oregon State to LSU last summer, only played in 30 games this season and slashed .243/.321/.392 after having a very good postseason last year with the Beavers.

Two Demon Deacons are on Bourne, both of whom are MLB Draft-eligible. Luke Costello, a corner infielder who hit 17 home runs for Wake Forest, is here. As is Blake Schaaf, who batted .324 with a .431 on-base percentage for the ACC-based school this season.

Ryker Waite finished fourth on the Commodores in hits (60) this season.

Outfielders

Name 2026 School
Matt Bolton SUNY Binghamton
Rustan Rigdon Vanderbilt
Cal Sefcik Cincinnatti
John Stuetzer Florida State

Rustain Rigdon posted a .389 on-base percentage for Vanderbilt last season, one of the lower ones on a Commodores team that did get on base a lot this season.

John Steutzer was a valuable bat for the Florida State Seminoles down the stretch, as he was FSU’s leadoff hitter during the tourney & got the team off to a good start with a lead-off home run against St. John’s in Game #1. His 55 total hits wound up leading the Seminoles.

Junior Cal Sefcik only played 39 games for a deep Cincinnati offense this season. Significantly lower SLG, as Sefcik had just one home run after a seven-home run campaign in 2025.
